George Lumpkins’: 6 motor C-17

BCF Members, George Lumpkin’s 16th contribution has been posted to the Member’s Corner part of the Member Documents section of this website. As BCFers know, George is a prolific and creative RC modeler who had specialized in twin motor BARF airplanes (AKA “Twinman”), but has been steadily gravitating to models with >2 motors. As a result of “Harvey” flood damage to the Bayou City Flyers clubhouse, the HobbyTown Houston store located in the Village at West Oaks, 2392 South Texas 6, Houston, TX 77077 (northwest corner of Texas 6 and Westheimer) has kindly offered the club use of their conference room for our monthly meetings. Hurricane Harvey – BCF Flood Preparation

Mark Troutman, Corey Johnson and Merle Bowler have secured the outside tables so they (tables) will ideally not float away in high water and elevated things in the clubhouse and concession storage areas as best as possible to mitigate flood damage. The PC has been removed. The next meeting is Saturday October 7th at 10am. It is believed the clubhouse sustained significant flood damage due to Hurricane Harvey so the venue of the meeting has yet-to-be determined.
