As a result of “Harvey” flood damage to the Bayou City Flyers clubhouse, the HobbyTown Houston store located in the Village at West Oaks, 2392 South Texas 6, Houston, TX 77077 (northwest corner of Texas 6 and Westheimer) has kindly offered the club use of their conference room for our monthly meetings. Thank you HobbyTown – a large store with huge inventory and very helpful staff. Please endeavor to visit this store and spend your hobby $$$.

BCF Clubhouse Restoration Project Manager

BCF club member Randy Marek has courageously volunteered to be the Project Manager for restoration of the clubhouse following flood damage due to “Harvey”. Hurricane Harvey – BCF Flood Preparation

Mark Troutman, Corey Johnson and Merle Bowler have secured the outside tables so they (tables) will ideally not float away in high water and elevated things in the clubhouse and concession storage areas as best as possible to mitigate flood damage. The PC has been removed. The next meeting is Saturday October 7th at 10am. It is believed the clubhouse sustained significant flood damage due to Hurricane Harvey so the venue of the meeting has yet-to-be determined. Please sign-in when you arrive. New members are encouraged to attend and introduce yourselves to the rest of the gang. Clubhouse Improvements – February 2017

BCF members have completed the installation of a ramp to/from the emergency exit door of the clubhouse. Pictures of the ramp can be seen by clicking on the Media page then Photos then selecting DSMA Powered RC area and scrolling to the last row of images. Work on the interior of the clubhouse continues. Cabinets have been installed on the “west” wall and a new refrigerator was installed adjacent to the cabinets.
