Update – RealFlight Simulation of Dick Scobee Airfield

New – Club Member Corey Johnson has updated the clubhouse PC RealFlight simulation program which models Dick Scobee Field (originally created by Don Adams) to include more details (some are a surprise). Members can access the updated files via the Member Documents section of the website – download the December 2015 files. Within this section is information about computer performance requirements. If your PC or laptop meets the minimum requirements then download the zipped files. Thank you Don and Corey!

Change of Member Telephone Number or Email Address

Members are asked to advise Dick Pursley, BCF RC Club Treasurer, of changes to their email address or phone number. Dick maintains a roster of these details which he updates on a monthly basis and shares with Club officers. New for 2016 – please provide your FAA sUAS registration number to Dick so he can include this in his roster. Dick’s contact details can be found in the Members & Membership section of this website.

December 2015 Club Meeting

The next meeting is Saturday, December 5th at 11am sharp at Rudy’s – 21799 Katy Freeway (south side of I-10 between Mason and Westgreen Blvd). Please sign-in when you arrive. Elections will be held for 2016 club officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary). Food will be served around noon. Bayou City Flyers can bring their spouse, fiancée or girlfriend and any immediate family members who also belong to the AMA and Club. Pro-rated Membership Dues for 2015

If members accept a 2015 membership application with the intention of passing it on to a Club Officer, be advised dues for people joining the Bayou City Flyers in 2015 will be (by month application is accepted):  $30 October; $20 November; $10 December.

Safety

Members of the Bayou City Flyers RC club are obligated to enforce safety at our home field within the Dick Scobee Memorial Airfields area.  We ask all pilots to read and honor the rules posted within this website and at the field.   Regarding safety, if you do not know, ask.  All members of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) are asked to display their valid membership card when at the field.  Please be respectful and courteous when giving or receiving feedback about safety to/by others.
