As of today George Bush Park and the flying fields remain open. Please exercise the appropriate published guidance on social distancing and personal protection as you may so warrant. We all look forward to this coming to a end and returning to business as usual. If you have a build or project underway please send me (Webmaster) your pictures and information so we can share them. 2020 R/C EVENTS / CALENDAR Impacted by Covid19 Pandemic

2020 FLYING SEASON and EVENTS were off to a great start until the pandemic outbreak. Not only were local and area events being scheduled impacted but annual MAJOR events were also being either canceled or rescheduled. 2020 BCF WORK DAY – SAT. FEB. 29th GREAT TURNOUT

CLUB WORKDAY – GREAT TURNOUT & PROGRESSBayou City Flyers WORKDAY Saturday, Feb. 29th at Dick Scobee Memorial Airfields in George Bush Park had a great turnout with a lot of progress made. The clubhouse skirting project completed 50% of work needed with the rest to follow soon. Additionally, the pilot flyer station area railing was reinforced, the grass area parallel to the runway had the wild hog damage repaired along with removing encroaching grass along the runway, trees were trimmed and the overall area cleaned up. 2020 BCF R/C SWAP MEET SAT., JULY 18

COME ONE, COME ALL! EVERYTHING R/C!Bayou City Flyers hosted it first of two RC SWAP MEETS at Dick Scobee Memorial Airfields in George Bush Park this year on SATURDAY MARCH 14. We had a good turnout given all the issues with Covid19! The next one will be SATURDAY JULY 18, 8am – Till Finish. OPEN ADMISSION & FREE TO SELL. 4th Annual BCF Warbird Sortie Event: 2020 Cat C, Sanction 10047

Bayou City Flyers has decided to cancel and reschedule its planned 4th Annual Warbird Event at Dick Scobee Memorial Airfields in George Bush Park, that was set for JULY 24-25, 2020 due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. We are looking at the fall for a potential date TBD. We have had a great turnout of pilots, volunteers, vendors and members of the public attend over the last few years as the event continues to grow. BCF NEW WEBSITE

Thanks to everyone for the appreciative comments on the new website. We continue to make improvements with our web consultant – Deborah Bulling of DebsWebsDesign.com. We’ve made the site more user friendly (especially in the Membership area), more interactive, and focused on attracting new members and providing them with information on ‘Getting Started’ and how to “Come Fly With US”!  Based on comments I’ve added more videos of BCF events and flying together, along with a aerial drone video of the field.
